This is shot from a bridge looking down the cannal back at Lewes Delaware, USA. I had been out shooting the sun setting behind the local light house and was on my way home. As I passed over the bridge I glanced to my right and saw the tremendous orange glow that was still in the sky. I used a GND, don't recall which one but I'd guess it was the 3-stop grad.

Cropping and contrast adjustment with Digital Photo Professional; one degree of counterclockwise rotation with ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.
Great Smoky Mountains National ParkDarren Livingston

I made the photograph this last May while hiking in
the "Great Smoky Mountains National Park" in
Tennessee, USA.
Some of my favorite photography is to photograph water
and waterfalls. This one is of a portion of "Rainbow
falls". Because it was midday in bright sun I used a
10 stop neutral density filter to give me an exposure
of 13 seconds @ f11 on my Nikon D200 using a 28-70 f2.8
lens.

Juno Pier:
I had arrived at the Juno Pier in Juno Beach, Florida with the intention of capturing the sunrise. With about 15 minutes to spare I decided it was a perfect opportunity to experiment with some long exposures. After attaching my 10-22mm lens to the Canon 20D, I set it down low to the ground on a tripod. The camera was stopped down to F18 at ISO 100 setting and the shutter speed set to 1 and a half seconds. While I expected to capture the movement in the water with the slow shutter speed, the blurring of the sea spray created a painterly effect on the pier which was an added bonus. The sunrise was a disappointment but I still left very happy, this is one of my favorite pictures to date.

About 1 minute exposure. Lake Pontchatrain in New Orleans 1 year after Katrina. The lights on the left are of a boat. The long exposure shows the trajectory of the boat, as if it was nearing shore and then decided to go back out.
